Extracurricular Clubs and Activities
At Cawston Primary we offer a range of Extracurricular Clubs and Activities which are held both during lunchtime and after school. These clubs are mainly delivered by staff, but we have sessions run by our Sports Partnership Team. Extracurricular clubs change each half term, but recent afterschool clubs include Afterschool Dance Club, Quidditch Club, Gymnastics, School Choir, STEM Club and Craft Club, Learning Outside the Classroom and Gardening Club. Lunchtime clubs include Warhammer Club, Colouring Club and Mindfulness. Many of these clubs are free of charge, with a few that have a nominal contribution for materials.
Music Lessons
For children wishing to learn to play an instrument, we provide paid weekly guitar lessons from Norfolk Music Services or paid weekly piano, saxophone, recorder and clarinet lessons available from Mrs Berry-Smith.
The Breakfast Club
A popular club that meets every day for activities before school. From 7.30 – 8.45 am the children are supervised in a friendly and safe environment. Contact the School on 01603 871249 to make a booking.
The After School Club
A thriving Club which caters for child care needs from 3.15 – 6.00 pm. ‘Smiles’ provides a light tea and fun activities in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. ‘Smiles’ also run holiday activity days. Contact the School on 01603 871249 to make a booking.
Wider Community
We have a Community Garden Group for parents and those in the wider Cawston community which runs from 9am to 12noon every other Monday Providing a place to come together, our volunteers keep the school wildlife garden in order. It’s a great opportunity to meet and make friends and get some fresh air – all whilst making a much valued contribution to our school.
